You are supported by and gain experience from a highly skilled multidisciplinary team that includes Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapists, Clinicians and Student Services in the educational setting.
Here's where you come in! The Special Education Teacher is vital in the creation of a differentiated curriculum, instruction of content, and, most importantly, supporting students' ability to access the academic programs at RFK Community Alliance.
You will implement grade-level curricula to meet academic standards based on the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and Common Core Curriculum.
You will also use your skills to recognize the unique qualities of each student and incorporate them into appropriate lessons and/or projects.
Qualifications State of MA Special Ed Moderate License Bachelor's Degree in education, special education, or related field Master's Degree in special education is preferred Knowledge of evidence-based inclusive practices that meet the needs of social/emotional learners Knowledge of a range of special education interventions Understanding of behavioral principals Strong leadership and team-building skills Hours 37.
